About Us

Balmoral Chippy started life as a traditional café & chip shop over 100 years ago, by my great Aunty Nancy & Rolando Toni. Soon after they adopted my grandfather, Bruno Toni, he continued to develop the business and began offering Italian-style ice cream shortly after the second world war.

In 1978 I, Riccardo Pagani, started working for my parents and to this day continue to do so with my wife Jill. In June 2021 we suffered a devastating fire which forced our closure for 14 months. Now WE ARE BACK with a brand new state of the art shop with the latest British Built Frying Range from Mallinsons of Oldham, and now serving 14 flavours of Italian Style Ice Cream.
